Manchester, CT (PREWEB) June 26, 2008 - Corey Wry and five of his childhood friends have banded together to run a "Burger Bar" restaurant in Manchester, Connecticut, called Corey's Catsup and Mustard Restaurant. Wry also has another restaurant in the area, called Pastrami On Wry, which opened in 2005. According to the article, Wry describes Corey's Catsup and Mustard as, "?burger bar with both comfort food and some more modern fare, ? and a family-friendly atmosphere." The article also says that Wry's childhood friends saw the potential in his restaurant, and some of these friends even help in the daily operations of the restaurant.
"I saw the success of Pastrami, and I told Corey if he was thinking of opening another place, that I'd like to be a part of it," said Jesse Russo, a hairstylist who is also one of Wry's partners in Corey's Catsup and Mustard and one of Wry's childhood friends. "It's another way to stay in though with old friends since most of us in on the restaurant grew up together, here in town."
The article goes on to describe, in detail, many of the other dishes that are served in the restaurant. For example, according to the article, a restaurant can get a burger called the "Auntie Laurie," which is beef burger on a pretzel bun with bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese and spicy mustard. Other types of dishes that are served include soups, salads, appetizers and sandwiches. The article also says that Wry likes to use locally-made food products in his menu, including Hosmer Soda Company of Williamantic and Royal Ice Cream cakes.
"This is something different for Manchester, and we'd like to think that we're helping with the revitalization of downtown," said Brian Dowd, an investor and cook in the restaurant. "We're all glad to be here. We like to think that we're changing Manchester and the way people eat."
