The grills fire up at 7:00pm on Friday as Rachael Ray invites New Yorkers' favorite restaurants and chefs to show what they're made of -- sirloin, smoked bacon, New Mexican hatch chile -- what delectable mix will take the crown this year? Serving up this year's entries are David Burke (David Burke Prime at Grand Pequot Tower, Foxwoods Resort Casino), Emile Castillo ("the burger joint" at Le Parker Meridien), E. Putting a sweet finish on an evening of burgers and Blue Moon beers are giant chocolate chip cookies and brownies from DUMBO pioneer Jacques Torres (Jacques Torres Chocolate), cheesecake from New York's landmark restaurant Junior's, soft serve ice cream from David Chang's famed Momofuku Noodle Bar and the ultra-indulgent Godiva Dessert Lounge featuring Godiva Chocolatier's, Thierry Muret.

Over 1,000 people are expected to attend this carnivore's delight at the Tobacco Warehouse in the Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park. Only after tasting each and every entry will the crowd be ready to vote on whose is the juiciest, most delectable burger this side of Foxwoods. When the tally is taken, Rachael Ray will announce who has earned the bragging rights to be this year's "Best Burger" and it only happens in Brooklyn!

The 2008 Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival will take place this Columbus Day weekend, Thursday October 9th - Sunday, October 12th, in New York City's legendary Meatpacking District in addition to DUMBO.
